IBAN Validator / Checker

How the IBAN verification tool works

Enter the IBAN to be checked in the field above (either in electronic or paper format).
Make sure that the IBAN corresponds to the valid IBAN format: the first 2 characters must be letters and the following 2 characters must be digits.
You can find more examples on our IBAN example page.

Via the IBAN checker

The IBAN Validator Tool was developed to validate international IBAN numbers. The IBAN checker supports all SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) countries and banks.

The tool verifies that the IBAN length conforms to the standard and performs mathematical calculations on the IBAN checksum to verify that the IBAN you have entered is valid.

The tool will also analyze the IBAN so we can show you the Country, Basic Bank Account Number (BBAN), Local Bank Code, Local Branch Code & Local Account Number.

Please note that this tool does not check whether this IBAN exists at the bank - it only checks its validity.
